Food is common in all cultures. The colors, textures and flavors might be different. At the end of the day its sitting around the table, having a meal with your family or friends – Now this is creating memories. I grew up in a family where home-cooked meals were as second nature as breathing.
I always remembered that food has been the reason we gather together. Each and every occasion centered around food. We prided in ourselves for producing as many number of platters that we could cook up and serve for our guests.
I want to share some of my favorite tried and true recipes with all of you. I also have a catastrophic obsession with kitchen art. By kitchen art I mean beautiful craftsmanship of cutlery, pots and pans, kitchen gadgets and much more.
Even something as insignificant like the kitchen towel or dish soaps make me so happy. Little things which we don’t give a second thought about but these things make our lives so much easier.
I hope you all cook with your children or significant other or even your friends. If none of those apply to you then just cook for yourself. Trust me! A home-cooked meal, no matter your level of expertise in the kitchen tastes so much better.
I, for one love to be in the kitchen – My children tell me that is where I belong! Not in any offensive or derogatory manner. It’s more out of love. They enjoy what I cook and I love to cook because they enjoy what I make for them. Believe me when I say that your family is worth it.
Your whole family will be in anticipation of what you are making for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The smells that come out of our kitchen are heavenly. My children know that Mommy is making something special and they will wait until the food is ready to eat it.
I hope that I can simplify your life by giving you a head start. I like to take traditional recipes and given them a modern spin. I live in Texas and I am Bangladeshi – so naturally I have a food obsession.
I was born in Bangladesh. The food here is unique in its own way, The flavors are to be rivaled with. We crave food that is full of color. No where can you find food so flavorful and intoxicating. I could sit and watch street vendors work their magic and prepare unbelievably flavorful from their carts.
