Ingredients
- 2 Cups Chickpeas
- 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Purée
- 1 Large Red Onion, Chopped
- 1 Tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
- 2 Tsp Madras Curry Powder
- 1 ½ Tsp Salt
- 3 Green Chili
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 3 Tbsp Fresh Coriander, Chopped
- 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
- Juice of Half a Lemon
Directions
- Heat oil in a pan, Add onions and fry on medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
- Add Ginger/Garlic paste, fry 1-2 minutes until raw smell evaporates.
- Add Cumin powder, Turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, Madras curry powder, Salt and ¼ Water and mix with sauteed onions.
- Add chickpeas and mix with the onion masala paste.
- Cover pan with a lid for 5-10 minutes and cook.
- Uncover pan and stir chickpeas.
- Squeeze juice of half a lemon.
- Add fresh chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve Hot.
