Kata Masala Beef Curry

My husband is preparing our lunch today. He is cooking beef.

  • Beef 1 Kg
  • Onion 2 Medium Sliced
  • Ginger and Garlic Paste 4 Teaspoons
  • Dry Red Chillies 6-7
  • Cinnamon Sticks 5-6
  • Bay Leaf 5-6
  • Cardamon 5-6
  • Black Peppercorns 8-10
  • White Vinegar – 1/2 cup
  • Sour Plain Yogurt – 1/2 Cup
  • Turmeric – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Kashmiri Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Nutmeg 1 Whole Crushed
  • Javentri Powder 1/3 teaspoon
  • Meat Masala 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt – 2 Teaspoons
  • Oil – 1 Cup

This recipe is very easy. You mix all the ingredients together and leave it to marinate for 1 hour. You can double this mixture and freeze the other half – to use at a later date.

Get a heavy bottom pot and heat it on high. Pour in the marinated meat and cover and cook for 1 hour. You can add water as the cooking continues to have gravy.

Once it’s done – You can add green chillies to garnish and serve with white rice, naan, paratha.
