Pizza Dough Recipe


  • 1 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon room temperature water
  • cooking spray
  • parchment paper
  1. In a small bowl, stir together the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the flour to the bowl. Sprinkle the salt over the flour and mix
  3. Add the olive oil, room-temperature water, and yeast mixture and mix.
  4. Spray a medium bowl lightly with cooking spray or coat lightly with oil. Cover with plastic or a kitchen towel for 1 hour in a warm place.
  5. Gather, prepare and assemble pizza toppings.
  6. Once the doubles in rise, punch down to remove excess air. Form into 3 separate pizza doughs or 2 medium pizzas.
  7. Heat oven to highest setting.
  8. Assemble pizza by rolling out dough to form the pizza on parchment paper.
  9. Put toppings of choice.
  10. Put the pizza in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.
